Welcome to the Performance Minute. I am Sean Frontz from the Performance Development Group and today we're talking about coaching. Not just normal coaching but the idea of coaching in the flow of work. I have spent, wow, 25 years now working with leaders around the world and one of the common things I hear from leadership is I can't find the time to coach enough.
And I think that that's funny. I almost think that that's an oxymoron because to me if your mouth is moving and there's a person in front of you, that is an opportunity to coach. So stop thinking about coaching from a standpoint of a set time on a set schedule. The way we look at it in the Performance Development Group is every time you're speaking with someone is an opportunity to coach.
So change your thinking that coaching is not a moment in time, it is time. Focus on working with the person in front of you and how you can coach in the moment in the conversation that you're having. For the Performance Minute, I'm Sean Frontz from the Performance Development Group. We'll see you next time.
